It was a surprise to many that an animated feature could win an Academy Award. No one knew that Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs would win the Oscar for Best Picture when they were shown in the movies. Only after the movie did the Oscar winners become known to the public. They were announced to the audience before the movie started in cinemas.Over the years, Disney has added other animated feature Oscar nominations to its library, including Rise of the Silver Surfer and The Pirates of the Caribbean. Of course, with each film, the success rate goes up. Frozen is the most popular film of all time. The amazing story the directors and producers have created, the incredible graphics and the originality and animation are all reasons why Frozen is so popular. Producers and directors have created a huge star-base by bringing back the majority of the movie’s top stars.There are still disney oscars, best animated feature awards, and other awards that go unawarded every year. We can only hope next year's winners are better than the previous two. It seems that the Academy is paying a lot of attention right now to this year's movies. While Disney movies still dominate box office, the attention paid by the academy is definitely noteworthy. Now that people are looking for something new and different to watch, they are turning to Disney to find it.It is too early to predict who will win this year's Oscar, or who will win the best original music category. However, it is certainly looking as though at the moment, The Pirates of the Caribbean may well be the big movie of the year. And we can only hope that the producers do a great job producing this one.
